Mrs. Margaret Evelyn East (1899-1996) was a woman of deep compassion whose life quietly transformed countless lives at Bethel Ashram. She believed that every child, regardless of caste or background, deserved dignity, education, and love. Through her inclusive kindergarten, selfless service, and lifelong dedication alongside Sr. Saramma Thomas, she became a mother to the abandoned and a steady pillar of Bethel Ashram. Her legacy lives on in lives healed, children educated, and love given without boundaries.
